About

I have restarted twice. I know what walking back in feels like.

Personal trainer in Dunlap, Tennessee, coaching busy parents, total beginners, and anyone who is tired of plans written for somebody else's life.

The story

How I got here

My love for training really started in my childhood. I was in gymnastics as a little girl and used to dream of being in the Olympics. Obviously life took a different direction for me — but the thing that stuck from that gym floor was the belief that a body can be trained, and that a skill you cannot do today is only a skill you have not repeated enough yet.

Fast forward to 2012. Two kids later, I wanted to get back in shape and feel strong again. I found a gym with childcare — which, if you are a parent, is the entire ballgame — and began my journey through general fitness, strength training and running. I was completely self taught up until my certification courses.

I learned so much through trial and error. I program-hopped. I trained too hard on weeks I was already exhausted. I spent months on things that were not moving me toward anything. And once I saw results from my efforts, I was hooked and wanted to share that success with anyone who was looking for it. That was the moment I knew I wanted to share what I had learned with anyone who was looking for that knowledge. Such a wonderful feeling it was.

Now, two more kids later, I feel stronger and more energetic than ever.

What I will not do

  • I will not shame clients.
  • There will be no phone distractions.
  • I will not push a client past their limits.
  • I will not hand you a plan I cannot explain.

The Real-Life Plan

Coaching from a kitchen-table kind of honesty

Four kids means I have never once trained under perfect conditions. I know the early mornings before anyone else is up, the sessions done tired, the week the plan gets flattened by a sick kid. That is not an obstacle I work around with clients — it is the actual design brief. Every program I write assumes interruption and has a short version ready for it, because the week everything falls apart is the week most people quit for good.

It also means I am not impressed by heroics. I am impressed by the person who shows up tired anyway and does twenty honest minutes. Over a year, that person wins.

I will use a client’s specific barriers, nervous system comfort, and lifestyle limits to build a customized program to fit their needs. I will not shame clients, there will be no phone distractions and I will not push a client past their limits. I want to see all of my clients succeed in what they desire the most!
